Release: Deborah Howard Op-Ed - Lisa Fink Has Shown She Is an Extremist
PHOENIX - Arizona House candidate Deborah Howard is drawing a sharp contrast with Rep. Lisa Fink in a new op-ed published by YourValley Daily Independent, arguing that Fink’s record and rhetoric are far outside the mainstream of Legislative District 27.
In the op-ed, “LD 27 challenger Howard: Fink shows she is an extremist,” Howard points to Fink’s support for gubernatorial candidate Andy Biggs, Fink’s history of election denial, embrace of vaccine-related conspiracy theories, and sponsorship of legislation that drew opposition from the Salt River Project over concerns about water management.
“Across issues ranging from healthcare, education, and trade, I have focused on bringing people together, communicating shared values, and turning common goals into action,” Howard writes.
Howard contrasts that record with her own experience, including serving as a political appointee in the U.S. Department of Labor under President Ronald Reagan and working with organizations including AARP, Blue Shield, and the Joint Maritime Congress.
“We need leadership that isn’t interested in bootlicking Biggs but is determined to bring down costs, protect our water and our children,” Howard writes. “Now is the time for West Valley conservatives of conscience to unite and coalesce behind a proven leader who will govern for everyone, not the extremes.”
